- Rhonda Greene & Anrick Bregman, VidCon US 2019
I stumbled into Augmented Reality entirely by chance in February 2018, when a friend encouraged me to check out Snap's Lens Studio software. I was instantly addicted, and could never have imagined at the time all of the opportunities that AR would bring!
Snapchat Official Lens Creator
In June 2018, Snapchat invited me to be a part of their Official Lens Creator (OLC) program. The OLC program recognizes the top AR artists in the Lens Studio community, hand-selected by Snapchat. OLCs receive extra resources to further develop their work.
Lens Studio Ambassador
I was selected by Snapchat to be a Lens Studio Ambassador in January 2019. Through educational outreach, including workshops and presentations, Lens Studio Ambassadors evangelize the use of AR for a wide variety of applications.
Snapchat Lens Creative Partner
Also in January 2019, I became certified by Snapchat as a Lens Creative Partner. This certification indicates that I am proficient both at developing immersive augmented reality experiences as well as best practices and policies regarding advertising on the platform.
Snap Partner Summit Activation Leader
At the very first Snap Partner Summit in April 2019, I was one of several OLCs who were invited to lead one-on-one, hands-on lens creation workshops as part of an interactive experience. My lens making station recreated an activation from the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend, where Nike gave people the opportunity to build their own version of a lens themed around the event.
I was invited to speak at VidCon 10 in Anaheim, California in July 2019. I spoke alongside Anrick Bregman in a session called The Rise of Augmented Reality Storytellers: How Content Creators Are Using AR to Build and Connect with Their Audiences in New Ways. It was an incredible honor!
